Abstract
  • This project utilizes growth counseling principles to encourage individual emotional and spiritual growth in a small group of single parents at the First Baptist Church of Pawnee, Oklahoma. The project design provides for unique opportunities for pastoral care between the pastor/leader and the group members. The project defines a process of encouraging individual and group growth. The project demonstrates a significant improvment in group members facing an immediate crisis, such as divorce or separation from a spouse. It also sets out a pastoral care model to be used with small groups.
