  • Nigerian church growth has slowed as institutional Christianity has become the norm, despite the rich cultural resources that church members enjoy. The Nigerian Yoruba cultural potential for rapid and extensive growth is already in place but mostly neglected by church members and by their clergy alike. This paper argues for exploring ways of growing new and existing Nigerian churches, qualitatively and quantitatively, through ministries conducted within the extended family, taking advantage of the social dynamics that are already present.
