- Abstract
- The purpose of this research project is to develop a Protestant pastoral theology, using the theology of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, in its context of the current need for spiritual formation and the history of pastoral care; to develop a proposed curriculum and model of ministry by which the principles of spiritual formation (growth in discipleship) may be integrated into the life of a congregation; and to present evaluations of the model. The theory and much of the design are seen to be helpful, but would have to be adapted to the needs and resources of particular congregations.
