Abstract
  • The purpose of this project is to explore groupings that will give effective support for contemporary urban Christians to live and to be in mission as a community of the resurrection. A series of groups was organized based on geography, context (an exploration of oppression) and commitment (connecting faith to life by worship, study, community and mission). Individual and corporate support was offered and some steps toward justice-seeking ministries were taken as a result of these groups. Specifically, the groups motivated individuals to act in ways that will open their church facilities to more effective community ministries and to engage in risk-taking for others.
