Abstracto

The purpose of this project was to equip selected members of Covenant Baptist Church of Brentwood, Tennessee, with personal spiritual intimacy practices. Utilizing the equipping model, the project director equipped selected members of Covenant Baptist Church with the necessary skills to make personal spiritual intimacy practices an integral part of their relationship with God. The project director researched the field of spiritual disciplines and determined essential personal spiritual intimacy practices: Bible reading, prayer, and solitude. The project director developed a curriculum that was designed to take the selected group of church members through an equipping workshop. He evaluated the effectiveness of the workshop in addressing the cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains of learning utilizing a pretest, a posttest, a self-report questionnaire, and an opportunity for reflections. The project director also increased his knowledge of personal spiritual intimacy practices and curriculum development skills.
