Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to develop an effective recruiting strategy for the ACHIEVE Adult Education Program of Southeastern Bible College, Birmingham, Alabama. The author explored literary works in the field of adult student recruiting, existing adult recruiting strategies and models used by other institutions, the demographics of past and current ACHIEVE students, the adult friendliness of the college's student support services, and current recruiting practices. From the findings of the external and internal exploration, the author developed a strategy for recruiting adult students. The strategy has a single purpose of recruiting adult students utilizing multiple means as determined through exploration.
