Abstract
  • The two parts oto this project are: 1) the development and implementation of a leadership training conference with eight workshops for the Presbytery of Plains and Peaks; and 2) six modules of continuing elder training for use during a session meeting or retreat. The topics included (a) the cultural context of the 21st century church and the adaptive challenge, (b) creating and promoting vision for the church, (c) managing change and conflict, (d) leadership and spiritual formation for the church, (e) creating structures in implementing vision, and (f) creating community and fellowship. These proved helpful for leaders of the church in a postmodern and post-Christian cultural context.
