- Abstract
- This applied research project focuses on the effects of the Filipino value 'shame' in ministry leadership. The research method sought to provide assessment through qualitative ethnographic interviews and pertinent evaluative review on current thought regarding the primacy of shame in Filipino life. Adopted from the local cultural challenges of the Petrine community in 1 Peter, the recommended ministry model advances the necessity of a scriptural mode of distinction, orientation, community, identity, balanced tension, subversion, and social interaction as a paradigm of reorientation for Filipino communities of faith.
