Abstract
  • A retreat setting provides an optimal opportunity for men to experience and communicate their feelings. The author developed a model for a men's retreat that provides a safe environment for men to confront emotional wounds and experience healing. The model was developed through current literature on men's issues. The retreat conducted using the model was effective based upon written evaluations by the participants, which included two mental health professionals.
