- Abstract
- The goal of this project is to equip American university students to evangelize international students at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Many existing programs of evangelism emphasize the knowledge and experience of the presenter of the gospel. The emphasis of this project will be on recognizing and ministering to the needs of the receiver of the gospel message, the international student. The eleven-session project includes two evaluation sessions and one session on the biblical basis for evangelism among international students. The remaining nine sessions are designed to train American students to develop personal relationships with internationals. These relationships should become channels through which the gospel is communicated. Training sessions will include information that will prepare the participants to communicate cross-culturally. Participants will also be trained to develop relationships by ministering in three specific areas. These areas include physical, relational, and spiritual needs. As these areas of need are addressed, the director will present corresponding ministry activties to train participants to minister.
