Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to profile pastors of plateaued and declining churches in the Chattahoochee Baptist Association and to provide a support ministry to them through small group interaction. A ten-week support group encounter, focusing on fellowship, honesty and support, assisted the group members in understanding the reasons why churches do not grow numerically and provided support to cope with the non-growth situation. The results of the project revealed slight differences in the feelings, expectations and outlook of the pastors in the support group as compared to the total number of pastors in the Association. Also, the evaluations revealed that the project's goal of support was its greatest benefit.
