Abstract
  • We can help women name, nurture and validate their religious experience in group study with insights from women's spirituality, narrative theology, spiritual direction and feminist biblical interpretation. The author created and led a six-week study with a rural and urban group using Thomas Groome and Walter Wink's paradigm. The experience was significant for most participants. Intimacy and joy grew over the study period. Women may have difficulty articulating how they sensed the presence of God, but will struggle to do so. A supportive group offers healing possibilities as we link our faith to our stories of daily life.
