Abstract
  • When congregational conflict arises, it is the laity who have the most at stake and yet who are the least informed. This paper informs the reader of the literature of church conflict, the definition and causes of conflict, elements affecting the developing conflict and biblical understandings of it. It concludes with prescriptions for ending the conflict. When the laity understand the factors involved in conflict, as well as possible treatments for it, they can and will effectively resolve the conflict.
