- Abstract
- Three rural churches each with less than 25 members merged in 1985 to form the Carlton United Methodist Church. A model in ministry was designed to help the congregation find its spiritual identity as a congregation raised to new life by the resurrection power of Jesus. The model proposes a recovery of vision and development of goals based on an understanding of the congregation as a part of the Body of Christ working in the world today. Tools included in the model are: a survey for vision and renewal; associated analysis tools for the survey that run on any IBM PC; a three-session study guide for vision and renewal; and a retreat for vision and goals.
