Abstract
  • This project provides a foundation on which a youth program can be built. Although it presents ideas on how to develop a summer enrichment program for use in a small rural church by pastors, youth leaders, and workers, it can be adapted for use in any local church. The project provides a rationale for a summer enrichment program by developing a theological and practical frame of reference. Furthermore it addresses such issues as pre-adolescent and adolescent development, the structure and curriculum of a summer youth program, networking strategies, and the role of youth workers and volunteers.
