Abstract

The purpose of the ministry research project was to help parents affected by divorce become more effective as Christian parents. An eight-week course for a group of fifteen parents was developed and implemented, covering such topics as communication, discipline, and faith development. Pretests and posttests were administered to the group members. The posttest results revealed increases in the awareness of some important factors for parents affected by divorce. The responses showed especially favorable reactions to the relational aspect of the group. Guidelines for future ministry with parents affected by divorce were offered in the concluding chapter of the project.
