- Abstract
- Jesus came to serve. He calls people to follow him and enter into the same ministry. Ordained ministry is established by Christ to enhance the ministry of his whole people. The author reviews the New Testament sources on ministry. He outlines reformation and post-reformation Lutheran positions to the present day on ministry and call and reviews current call practice of Lutherans and some other Christians. The project includes material on the ministry of the laity and makes suggestions for practice of mutual ministry that enhances the ministry of the whole body.
