  • This project addresses the lack of leadership development leading to full time ministry in small evangelical New England churches. Traditionally, this task of preparing full-time church leaders has been given to the seminary without any examination of the other options available. Through case study and grounded theory, this project revealed seven components that can address this problem. These components are essential whether the leadership development process is in partnership with a seminary or whether it is completely church-based. Ultimately, these findings bring to light a holistic model of leadership development that can be implemented in any church.
