Abstrakt

The house churches in China have grown rapidly and have also developed their own theological education, yet they still need help from churches outside China. The issues are the appropriateness and effectiveness of these efforts. This study intends to analyze the current needs of the house churches in China in order to improve the effectiveness of their leadership development, particularly for the Christian Ministry Institute (CMI). Four research methods are used: (1) Employing CMI evaluation questionnaire, (2) Interviewing three seminaries, (3) Analyzing 135 letters from Christian Life Press readers in China, and (4) Attending a house church leaders' conference on theological education.
