Abstract
  • The rapid growth in rural America is transforming communities. Long-term residents with rural culture and values are being invaded by newcomers from urban and suburban areas with differing culture and values. This change of city dwellers in the country is brinigng about change because of a clash of lifestyle and values. The strong emotions hinder the ability of the established traditional church in reaching these newcomers. This dissertation is designed to help church leaders of the established traditional church in the post-rural environment lead effective transformation. All post-rural counties are not the same; ministry must be appropriate for the county type.
