Abstract
  • The author researched the question of theodicy in the parish setting. The answer a Christian gives to the problem of a loving God co-existing with the world's ills will necessarily affect his or her relationship with God. The research took place within five discussion groups; the researcher designed each session to cover one particular aspect of theodicy. Participants filled out questionnaires before and after each class. The researcher analyzed the differences between the pre- and post-class surveys. The author concluded that an improper understanding of the theodicy question has a profound effect on one's relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
