Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to design a disciple-making strategy for First Baptist Church, Cedar Hill, Texas (FBCCH). I researched the field of discipleship and, along with the wisdom and planning of a Strategy Team, created a strategy for strengthening and developing small groups and micro-groups. I implemented four elements to develop the disciple-making strategy: (1) explore disciple-making needs for FBCCH; (2) explore existing models of disciple-making to determine best practices; (3) develop a disciple-making strategy with the help of a Strategy Team; (4) present the strategy to ministerial staff and key leaders of FBCCH. The project was evaluated by various experts, as well as the use of assessments, rubrics, and pretest and posttest. Implementation of the strategy was beyond the scope of the work.
