Abstract
  • Konstantin Stanislavski revolutionized the art world's understanding of performance. He developed a 'system' that helped actors perform in an authentic and truthful way. The author examined how Stanislavski's observations can be applied to preaching preparation. Five key areas were applied in the study; personal and corporate observation, using the 'circles of attention', deep study of texts used when preparing to preach, relaxation and authentic personal communication. The fifth element applied specific Stanislavskian terms - superobjective, bit and through-flow - in the construction of the homily. Designed for use in the classroom pedagogical examples and analysis verify the researches application.
