Abstract
  • This project is an attempt to understand the role of a pastor in leading a local church to long for and experience revival. The author researched biblical and other historical revivals, as well as other revival literature. He also surveyed his congregation and other pastors and ministry leaders to help determine his approach. A theology of revival was derived from Scripture and a plan to stir a hunger for revival was developed from that theology. The plan that was implemented focused primarily on the word of God and prayer. Revival did not occur, but great spiritual gain was achieved.
