Abstract
  • The method of research is qualitative. Five members of a small group (Growth Group) in a local church has been interviewed about their experiences after one year of participation of the group. This actual group has also been compared with two other small group models: recovery groups and covenant discipleship groups. Conclusion: The interviewed persons seemed to testify that a small group that has an agenda of outreach and spiritual fellowship, creates an environment of a spirituality that is characterized by forming the members in a way that is marking their daily lives as disciples of Jesus Christ.
