Abstract
  • Based on the principle that the church has a responsibility for strengthening marriage relationships, and cognizant of current trends toward marital breakdown, this project develops a program for marriage enrichment with specific application to Grace Baptist Church, Calgary, Alberta. After reviewing three currently available programs, the Kerber Model is presented which uses a variety of techniques to facilitate couple communication and discovery. The model was proof tested in a retreat setting and results are assessed. It is concluded that marriage enrichment ought to be part of the ongoing ministry of every church.
