- This project reports the concept, foundation, development, goals and results of the Branches, a house of vocational discernment for college-age students, sponsored by the Diocese of Rockford, founded in 1976, and directed under the vocation office. The study describes the practical work of developing the program, the three major elements, the criteria of determining results, and auxiliary services. That the program has helped persons decide for, and against, being a priest, while providing a supportive environment, established its credibility.
