Abstract
  • This project was designed to provide marginally active or inactive males in Court Street Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia with biblical servant leadership training that would encourage them to engage in more church activities. A seven-week stimulus was implemented. It included an orientation, seven classes, four sermons, a mentoring component, and a graduation ceremony. Quantitative and qualitative analysis instruments-- pre-test/post-test and interviews-- showed a statistically significant increase in the sample population's participation in church activities and knowledge of church terms. The project created an environment where males could deepen their commitment to the church and community.
