Abstract
  • The thesis of this study is to rethink the relationship between Christianity and shamanism from a Korean contextualization theological perspective and to develop a study guide on this subject to be used for adult education in the Korean church. The author examined the literature on shamanism and studied the theological literature on contextualization. Through this study, the author recognizes that shamanism has affected the spread of Christianity by providing it with points of contact, but the similarities between shamanism and Christianity may distort the essence of Christianity if there are no sincere efforts of contextualization of the gospel in the Korean shamanistic culture.
