- Abstract
- This project was designed to train young Hispanic ministers in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. A small group was offered an opportunity to participate in 1) concentrated training for basic youth ministry, 2) observation in churches with comprehensive, healthy youth ministries and 3) personal mentoring time dealing with ministry issues. Predominatly Hispanic conference leaders from around the state led the training sessions, thus providing teaching as well as contacts and role models for them. Observations increased application ideas. Mentoring allowed personal growth based upon their personal needs. A total of thirteen individuals participated in some aspect of the training.
