Abstract
  • The thesis is that there is a positive and negative impact upon individuals and the congregational and institutional ministries of the Diocese, even though only a few parishes are openly and actively involved in the Charismatic Movement. The author begins with a word study of spirit and charisma, then considers current published works and primary tape recordings. Further data is obtained from a survey and selected personal in-depth interviews throughout the Diocese which validated the hypothesis. The Movement, amid pain and tensions and other spiritual gifts, is seen as part of a renewal.
