Abstract
  • This project analyzes case studies of Bruce Ewing's Discipleship for Leadership program as it has been implemented in three local congregations: Fellowship Bible Church (Tulsa, Okla), Scofield Memorial Church (Dallas, Tex), and Houston Chinese Church, using William Frankena's 'Model.' Discipleship for Leadership addresses the shortage of leaders in local churches by training small-group leaders. The project analysis reveals that the program needs to be augmented with biblical study and teaching of specific skills for small-group ministry in order to more effective in training small-group leaders.
