- A need was demonstrated for the development of a high school Baptist young men's mission organization in churches affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas. The purpose of the organization included mission study, mission involvement, and personal and leadership development of Baptist young men of high school age. A training manual was developed which gave the theological and the psychological bases for the program. A program of instructor training was designed and conducted through a network encompassing 17 regions and 112 associations of Texas Baptist churches.
