Abstract
  • This project explores the need for preliterate children to be in divine worship. The author examines the developmental stages of preliterate children, the divine design for raising children in the fear and knowledge of the Lord; he engages with their parents regarding their understanding of their children's faith development, and proposes use of liturgy and appropriate 'quiet books' assisting children's worship of the Lord. The author proposes using a liturgy that incorporates appropriate gestures, postures and repetition allowing the preliterate to worship, and with the necessary parental involvement, the preliterate can grow in faith in the Triune God.
