  • The thesis of the study was that the church has done a poor job of establishing its new converts in the faith and as a result the church suffers from the immaturity of its members. A twelve-week, supervised, self-study course was designed to deal with this need. The course consisted of twelve weekly themes presented in cassette tape lessons, each one divided into five daily sub-topics; a workbook; and a transcript of the tapes. A survey of 74 participants, split into a test group and a control group, showed that the test group scored significantly higher in areas of knowledge and practice of basic truths of the faith.
