Abstract
  • The author's thesis is that adult Bible study leaders trained to use interpersonal dynamics in the adult Bible study classroom will exhibit a noticeable difference in the style, content, and application of teaching. Thirteen laypersons were trained during seven sessions in the principles of leadership, small group discipleship, group building, and the inductive Bible study method. These principles were applied to the existing adult Bible study program. Evaluation procedures revealed a positive move from a basic lecture style of teaching to a relational style of teaching. The member participation and effectiveness of the class also improved.
