Abstract
  • 'Liberation in early Christianity' is the title of a course which considered the issues of the ministry of women, the poor, the Trinity and feminine imagery, Christian unity and diversity, and gnosticism during the first 200 years of Christianity, in light of the liberation of Jesus Christ. A questionnaire was given before and after the course. The participants knowledge of the period changed in the direction of recognizing the 'liberating' character of the ministry of Jesus Christ including the continuation and, in some cases, denial of that liberation by early Christianity.
