Abstract
  • This project proposes that a six week Bible study on human sexuality will reduce adolescent sexually permissive attitudes. Using quasi-experimental design, 42 high school aged participants formed control and treatment groups. The treatment group participated in a six-week education study on the Bible's teaching on sexuality. Peer leaders were included. Biblical knowledge and sexually permissive attitudes were measured before and after the treatment. Quantitative analysis revealed significant increase in biblical knowledge yet no significant decrease in sexually permissive attitudes. Subjective analysis suggested that the program was valued by and made an impact on the participants' lives.
