Abstract
  • Character formation is the essential attribute in a leader's personhood. This project took a select group of staff and lay-leaders meeting in small groups and facilitated the development of their emotional intelligence and spiritual maturity. At the end of the process, the participants committed to reproduce this process with a group the following semester. Learning theory and sociological dynamics helped shape the small group atmosphere. The project rendered that character formation effectively takes place in a small group setting. When leaders choose to accept accountability and discipline themselves, character formation happens.
