Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to plant a healthy SDA church in Augusta, Maine, develop a church-planting plan, and create a vision for further church planting in the Northern New England Conference. Twenty-one members from an established congregation became the nucleus for the Augusta Church. A ten-part church-planting plan was developed. Northern New England church-planting vision progressed as the successful impact of the Augusta, Maine, church planting project unfolded. The church plant has been successful following the church-plant plan. In the first year, Augusta membership increased 100 percent while tithe for mother-daughter churches increased nearly 50 percent.
