Abstract
  • The study was undertaken to demonstrate that intentional spiritual education, development, and experience will produce observable positive change in the life of the church. The project placed a particular emphasis upon the youth. The context was Grace Reformed Church, Brooklyn, New York. A youth worship service and a vacation Bible school were developed to provide experience and education in God awareness and self-awareness in God. Context associates and senior youth were trained and taught by the researcher in order to develop leaders in the subject area. For six weeks, classroom sessions were held twice a week and the youth conducted the youth worship service on Sundays. The action research model and case study analysis revealed that this intervention improved the general behavior of the youth and indicated a greater commitment to the church of God by young people and adults.
