Abstract
  • The purpose of this project is to develop greater intercultural awareness and sensitivity among leaders of the First Southern Baptist Church of Phoenix, AZ. The motivation for the project grew out of the realization that the church needed a pathway to help build intercultural bridges due to the influx of immigrant and refugee families within the church and with those in the neighborhood. Leaders from five of the church's ethnic groups will embark on a four-month journey designed to help leaders interact with people of another culture in multicultural ministry by increasing their level of intercultural awareness and sensitivity.
