Abstract
  • The hypothesis with which this thesis began was that the congregation's acceptance of diverse worship styles would be increased by exposure to a variety of worship experiences. A worship planning committee was enlisted and trained to provide diverse worship services. A questionnaire was developed to measure the congregational attitudes toward particular elements of worship. The conclusion included insights about present styles of worship prominent among Baptist churches. They were identified as the praise and worship, the liturgical, the traditional, the revivalist, and the seeker service. The questionnaire results did not indicate any significant changes of attitudes about worship as a result of being involved with different styles of worship
