  • The purpose of this project was to assist in the search for a biblical view of personality. The manual which was developed for this purpose was tested at the Salvation Army School for Officers' Training in Chicago, Illinois. The manual was divided into three sections: 1. development of interpersonal relations; 2. a theological perspective of personality development; and 3. sources for dealing with behavioral difficulties. The participants consisted of a group of thirteen students who had completed the prerequisite course in Introduction to Psychology and were in their final year of training. They completed two examinations and several evaluation forms that provided data for the write-up of the project. Other participants included five outside readers who made observations of the manual from the perspective of their particular expertise. The evaluation indicated a positive experience for all with the recommendation that the program be developed further and continued.
