Abstract
  • This thesis develops a seminar entitled 'Cultivating the Preacher's Spiritual Health and Sculpting the Preacher's Message for the Small Church in the Rural Community Encountering Conflict.' An understanding of congregational conflict is sought in the small church set in the rural (town and country) community. Ten principles are identified for cultivating the preacher's spiritual health so they are prepared to preach. Sixteen principles are identified for sculpting the preacher's message to manage conflict from the pulpit. The goal is to glorify God by advancing Christ's kingdom in the power of the Holy Spirit through healthier and more effective preachers.
