Abstract

The purpose of this project was to impact the spiritual journey of a select group of people from the First United Church of Christ in Shelby, Ohio, through the transformational power of authentic biblical community experienced in a small group over six months. Data was drawn from the examination of selected biblical, historical, theological, and contemporary literature, and from two identical quantitative surveys and one qualitative survey given to small group participants from the First United Church of Christ in Shelby, Ohio. A clear understanding of the impact made on the spiritual journeys through the transformational power of authentic biblical community experienced in a small group deepens one's desire to participate in such a community.
