Abstract
  • First Presbyterian Church is a traditional, multi-generational, bimodal congregation challenged by the diversity these dynamics bring to worship. Worship is at the heart of the congregation. Members need to make room for and value the gifts each one brings to the table. With the development of a multi-layered program including worship education and the formation of Worship Design Teams, members had occasions to interact more boldly with scripture, liturgy and prayer, to wrestle with how best to proclaim the gospel, and to find their own place within the faith story. Evaluation was formative and adjusted the program and process along the way.
