- Abstract
- This project proposes a model for spiritual care to terminally-ill and dying persons and their families through a parish-based rural hospice program. Research draws from relevant hospice literature, on-site interviews, and responses to questionnaires. The model highlights four interrelated aspects of life and health: physical, mental, social, and spiritual. These are relevant elements in the Indian culture and life style. Findings from the research are applied to recommendations to the Christian Medical Association of India.
