Abstract
  • This project focused pastoral attention on the study and application of six disciplines: empowerment, reflection, silence, prayer, solitude, and community. A bi-monthly, six-hour spiritual enrichment cluster assisted pastors at their own level of spirituality. Clusters included assignments and readings, discussion of two disciplines, and sharing progress in implementing the disciplines. Assessment instruments gave pastors a before and after evaluation of their individual progress. Pastors registered not only an increased passion for God, but also personal growth in the fruit of the Spirit. Daily times spent in prayer and reflection increased appreciably. Stress decreased for most participating in the cluster.
