- Abstract
- The project consisted of an eight-week overview of the whole of Scripture, highlighting the primary themes and the essential substance of the Christian faith. It addressed the common lack of security and certainty in the spiritual lives of elderly believers. Using narrative form and the text's own poetic imagery, the presentation communicated both cognitively and intuitively the heart of Scripture as a means of cultivating assurance and hope in Christ in those whose rational faculties are diminishing. The study was evaluated by personal observation and by both formal and informal interviews. The participants indicated a noticeable increase in their trust in God's faithfulness as a result of the study.
